My name is Raymond Amy. My father, Clayton D Amy served on the USS San Jan from January 1943 until the ship was sent home after the war in March 1946. Please add his name to the ships roster. My dad is enjoying his retirement on a small farm in Crockett Texas. I remember when I was young listening to the stories of my dads adventures while aboard the ship. I have for the past few months been doing research on the ship and have found a few sites with information but am always on the lookout for more. Although my dad doesn't have access to the Internet, I'm certain he would like to her from anyone who would remember him.
